Fotin The All-Union Scientific-Research Institute for Compressor Machinery together with the Plastic and Polymer Joint Scientific Production Association and the M. I. Kalinin Leningrad Polytechnic Institute has developed a strain-gauge sensor (Fig. i) for measuring significant pulsations of gas pressure in systems at superhigh pressure~ The sensitive element of the sensor is a membrane with a thickness of 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 mm on which are cemented two re- sistance strain gauges with a base of 5 mm and a resistance of i00 ~ connected to a bridge circuit. The operating resistance strain gauge is cemented in the center portion of the strain gauge in a radial direction and the compensation resistance strain gauge on the side surface of the membrane. The area of use of the strain-gauge pressure sensor under con- sideration with various membrane thicknesses is determined by the boundary of linearity of their amplitude characteristics. For a sensor with a 4-mm-thick, 15-mm-diam. membrane the frequency of natural oscillations is 18.5 kHz, which with TI - Strain-gauge sensor for investigating the gas-pressure pulsations in gas lines at superhigh pressure JF - Chemical and Petroleum Engineering DO - 10.1007/BF01154999 DA - 2005-01-29 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/springer-journals/strain-gauge-sensor-for-investigating-the-gas-pressure-pulsations-in-ypLN2esvZc SP - 495 EP - 496 VL - 16 IS - 8 DP - DeepDyve ER -
