AB - INFORMATION "POTOK-I" APPARATUS FOR GALVANIZATION UDC 615.472 : 615.843 YU. N. Ogurtsov and K. P. Komarov The All-Union Scientific-Research Institute of Medical Instrument Manufacture has developed a new model of an apparatus for galvanization, the "Potok-l," which should replace the presently manufactured models AGN-32, AGP-33, GR-1M, and GK-1 and will be used for conducting both local and general galvani- zation procedures. Inprinciple,the scheme of the "Potok-l" apparatus is analogous to the schemes of the presently pro- duced apparatuses for galvanization. It includes the following main elements: power transformer, semi- conductor diode rectifier, ripple RC filter, potentiometric output current regulator, and milliammeter, The apparatus meets modern requirements of electrical safety. It is made according to the II class of protec- tion, i.e., does not require grounding. In addition, measures were taken in the apparatus to protect the patient against traumas which could be inflicted as a result of possible errors of the operating personnel or failure of the elements of the secondary circuits of the apparatus. One such measure is the introduction of two steps of regulation of the output current: 0-5 mA and 0-50 mA. The presence of two regulation steps not only provides universality of the apparatus, i.e.,
