TY - JOUR AU - Pilatti, Luiz Alberto AB - Investments in infrastructure provide an increase in the market value of the poor population's assets when their residence is served by sewage, water and telephone networks. They also allow each region to specialise in the economic activities for which they have the greatest vocation (agriculture, services, etc.), creating productivity gains and quality for the economy. In this sense, this short paper aims, through bibliographic research on SCOPUS database and on federal agencies websites, to highlight the main modes of transportation in Brazil and evaluate the amount of investment done in infrastructure in recent years in Brazil.
