TY - JOUR AU - Goodwyn, Jack R. AB - A coulometric method of analyzing for hydrogen was used to study the effect of a group of organic additives on the amount of hydrogen codeposited with nickel from a Watts‐type bath. This technique indicated the presence of one form of hydrogen at the electrodes, and this was indicated to be hydrogen codeposited in the nickel. There was marked correlation between the hydrogen content of the nickel deposits and the current efficiency for the deposition of hydrogen. It was also observed that, in general, the brightest deposits occurred at the minimum in the hydrogen content curves.
