AB - A simple positron annihilation imaging device was developed using conventional positron annihilation apparatus and a sample scanning stage. A positron source of 22NaCl was scanned on a sample, and a two-dimensional map of positron lifetime spectra was  constructed by a personal computer. Shocked aluminum and natural banded iron formations were imaged as examples.
