TY - JOUR AU - Grandjean,, H. AB - Abstract The effect of oxytocin at different concentrations was tested on the secretion of oestradiol-17βand testosterone by cultured human granulosa cells obtained by fofficular punctures during in-vitro fertilization (IVF) attempts. Oxytocin had no effect on testosterone secretion, either in the absence or the presence of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH). It had no effect on oestradiol-17β in the absence of FSH. However, it decreased the FSH-stimulated secretion of oestradiol-17β in a certain number of cases. This inhibitory effect appears to be associated with cells more responsive to FSH and was identified in women found to be successful in achieving pregnancy during IVF attempts. oxytocin, human preovulatory granulosa cells, pregnancy, oestradiol-17β, testosterone This content is only available as a PDF. © Oxford University Press TI - The effect of oxytocin on oestradiol-17β and testosterone secretion by cultured human granulosa cells JF - Human Reproduction DO - 10.1093/oxfordjournals.humrep.a137427 DA - 1991-07-01 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/oxford-university-press/the-effect-of-oxytocin-on-oestradiol-17-and-testosterone-secretion-by-vcZtsnjnB3 SP - 774 EP - 778 VL - 6 IS - 6 DP - DeepDyve ER -
