There was no discharge or bleeding from the lesion. He had a history of excessive sun exposure. On physical examination, he was found to have a soft, fluctuant, solitary, flesh-coloured lesion, 10 9 5 mm in size, on his superior right pinna (Fig. 1). There was no lymphadenopathy present. Histopathological findings A biopsy was taken. Histological examination identi- fied effacement of the dermis by a diffuse infiltrate of small to medium-sized lymphoid cells, with angulated nuclear outlines and small nucleoli. There was no epi- dermotropism, and the cells were separated from the epidermis by a Grenz zone. There was no evidence of necrosis, or of any angiocentric or angiodestructive features. Scattered plasma cells were seen, but there (b) were no eosinophils or histiocytes (Fig. 2a). The lymphoid cells were identified as CD3/CD8-positive T-lymphocytes TI - Solitary lesion on the ear JO - Clinical and Experimental Dermatology DO - 10.1111/ced.12603 DA - 2015-07-01 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/oxford-university-press/solitary-lesion-on-the-ear-uSaXvbOf6Y SP - 583 EP - 585 VL - 40 IS - 5 DP - DeepDyve ER -
