Acute facial paralysis in a child can have several different causes including trauma, tumors, autoimmune diseases, and infectious factors such as otitis media. We present a case of inflammatory pseudotumor of the facial nerve in a child with otitis media that manifested as acute facial nerve palsy. CASE REPORT A 4-year-old boy with a history of left otitis media unresponsive to oral antibiotics for 15 .days experienced complete left facial paralysis. The patient was admitted to another hospital where pressure equalization tubes were placed and intravenous nafcillin, intravenous dexameth- asone (Decadron), and gentamicin (Garamycin) ear drops were immediately instituted. The patient was transferred to our facility 4 days later. Fig. 1.
