TY - JOUR AB - IDIT GIL is a senior lecturer in the graduate program for Democracy Studies at the Open University in Israel. Her research interests focus on Jewish forced labor during the Holocaust and on Israel and the Holocaust. She has published several articles on Israeli education and the Holocaust. MOSHE IDEL is the Max Cooper Professor Emeritus of Jewish Thought, Hebrew University, and Senior Researcher at the Shalom Hartman Institute, Jerusalem. He is a member of the Israeli Academy for Sciences and Humanities and the recipient of the Israel Prize for Jewish Thought, as well as the Emmet Prize of the Prime Minister of Israel. He has authored numerous studies on Jewish mysticism, the most recent of which is Saturn’s Jews: The Witches’s Sabbat and Sabbateanism (2011). MARIANNA RUAH-MIDBAR is head of the Department of Mysticism and Spirituality at Zefat Academic College and a lecturer at the Uni- versity of Haifa where she has initiated and coheaded the annual Israeli Conference for the Study of Current Spiritualities (ICSCS) since 2009. Her Dissertation (2006) was an interdisciplinary work on the New Age culture in Israel. JAY WINTER is a Professor of history at Yale University.
