To these processes could justifiably be added the use of non- equilibrium plasma. A device with nonequilibrium plasma must be regarded as a second-genera- tion plasma unit. In it plasma is excited at a comparatively low pressure. Such conditions are suitable both for plasma-chemical reactions and for treatments of powders performed with the aim of changing their geometric shape or structure and for cladding. A plasma unit is characterized by a high level of energy input into a physicochemical system, which results in a marked increase in the rates of chemical reactions, In many cases materials produced by plasma-chemical methods possess unique characteristics [2, 3]. A feature of the physicochemical powder treatment processes investigated by us is that energy in "pumped" fromthe outside into a prepared gas mixture which is at a low pressure. Such systems are characterized by a high level of energy of electrons and a high concentra- tion of excited and charged particles at a low temperature of a neutral gas. By combining such conditions, it is TI - Nonequilibrium plasma in powder treatment processes JF - Powder Metallurgy and Metal Ceramics DO - 10.1007/BF01184430 DA - 2005-02-02 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/springer-journals/nonequilibrium-plasma-in-powder-treatment-processes-r6D75npEfu SP - 282 EP - 284 VL - 26 IS - 4 DP - DeepDyve ER -
