AB - A spectrochemical study dealing with the determination of some 20 trace elements in glass-making sands is reported. The effect of change of buffers, and hence of the matrix composition, on the line intensity is discussed. The detection limits for the elements determined are provided. The cathode and anode excitation methods are compared.
