TY - JOUR AU - Yang, G B AB - The effects of Cr and Mo atoms on the high-frequency losses of Fe-based amorphous alloys have been investigated by the substitution of 3 atomic percent of Cr or Mo atoms for Fe atoms in Fe79Si11 B10 amorphous alloy. It was found that the minimum high-frequency losses of magnetic cores of Fe79Si11 B10, Fe76Cr3Si11 B10 and Fe76Mo3Si11 B10 amorphous alloys can be obtained as follows: P2/20k = 16-17W kg1, 13-15W kg1 and 12-14 W kg1 when the cores annealed at about 425°C, 475°C and 500°C, respectively. In terms of the results obtained by means of TEM and x-ray diffraction, the improvement of the high-frequency losses of Fe76M3Si11 B10 (M = Fe, Cr, Mo) amorphous alloys may be attributed to the presentation of surface crystallization. As to the differences of the optimum high-frequency losses between the three kinds of Fe-based amorphous alloys, they may be connected with the difference of magnetic hysteresis losses caused by the various magnetostriction s.
