TY - JOUR AU - Jiang, Lina AB - Solar thermal power generation is an important part of the construction of new power systems. Because of its high efficiency, environmental protection, renewable and other significant characteristics, it is also an important means to promote the use of green energy. As a heat transfer and storage medium, organic heat transfer fluid runs through the whole solar thermal power generation system. In the operation of a photothermal power station, when the organic heat transfer fluid is mixed with water impurities, it may cause accidents such as unstable operating pressure, overpressure, and metal material corrosion, which directly affects the efficiency and operation safety of photothermal power generation. Therefore, the detection of water content in organic heat carrier has become an important detection index, and it is particularly important to select suitable detection methods and instruments according to different types of organic heat carrier. In this study, we compared the water detectors of two different manufacturers and the water detectors of the same manufacturer with different detection methods, and discussed the suitable detection methods and instruments for different types of organic heat transfer fluid.
