TY - JOUR AU - Ivanov, Yu. AB - V. Ya. Kozlov and Yu. V. Ivanov At our combine we have developed and introduced into production a rolIer entry guide box for rotling channels. TwQ methods of placing the rollers in this box are possible: vertically and horizontally. After testing, the second version was selected. Horizontal placement of the rollers has the following advantages: the area of contact between the strip being rolled and the roller is increased, as a result of which the contact stresses on the roller surface and its wear are reduced; the level of delivery of the strip into the rolls can be regulated, which is sometimes necessary when adjustingthemill; the direction of the workpiece into the rolls is secured by one working roller instead of two as with the vertical arrangement. All parts of the box (Fig. 1) are mounted in housing [4 ,7 5 ' ~ [4 230--~ 1. Shaped insert 2 is fixed by a transverse ridge in the bot- -'~ tom of thehousing This eliminates displacement of the ~ insert in the rolling direction, but allows displacement in a transverse direction, which is necessary for accurate ad- justment of the insert relative to the groove of the working i ~ TI - Roller entry guide box for rolling channels JO - Metallurgist DO - 10.1007/BF00733916 DA - 2004-11-18 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/springer-journals/roller-entry-guide-box-for-rolling-channels-oGHQ9XSEFu SP - 183 EP - 184 VL - 13 IS - 3 DP - DeepDyve ER -
