Starostin The Verkhne-lsetsk Metallurgical Plant has developed a system for checking working plati- num-rhodium/platinum thermometers by reference to a standard thermometer of the same type at 700, 900, and II00~ this has passed metrological tests and is now a standard test system. This system differs substantially from the UTT-5A and UTT-6V that are routinely in production, since the latter use a comparison method. Figure i shows the block diagram of the new system, where M-2000 is a portable instru- ment containing an F-II6/I microammeter, PMT-12M is a switch, T is a thermostat, MTP-2 is a fast-response tubular oven, and KSP-3 is an electronic self-balancing potentiometer.
