Lomonosov Porcelain Factory Translated from Steklo i Keramika, Vol. 22, No. 2, pp. 21-25, February, 1965 This article gives the results of investigations made by the author to determine the effect of glaze composition on the deformation of porcelain. More than 40 experimental and production glazes were used. Compositionally they can be divided into four main types: potash-soda feldspathic; glazes with fluxes made up of compounds of alkaline earth metals in the form of carbonates and oxides of Ca, Mg, Ba, Sr, Be; colored glazes with carbonate fluxes; glazes with combined flux compositions. The pigments for the colored glazes were insoluble oxides and soluble salts of Co, Cr, Fe, V and others. The compositions of typical glazes are given in the table. Series of experiments were made with these glazes. In the first tests all glazes were applied separately to one side of the specimen (a tile) followed by firing in a kiln under the same conditions. Tn ceramic practice earthenware and colored tiles are glazed on one side and also the following porcelain wares: bas-relief, some walt vases, TI - Influence of glaze composition on deformation of porcelain JF - Glass and Ceramics DO - 10.1007/BF00674363 DA - 2004-11-05 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/springer-journals/influence-of-glaze-composition-on-deformation-of-porcelain-mLEVTonb25 SP - 87 EP - 91 VL - 22 IS - 2 DP - DeepDyve ER -
