                                                 große Fassade im 10.–11. Stockwerk wurde eine Elementfassade konzipiert. Diese besteht aus 8,8 x 2,45 m großen Elementen, die sich aus mit Stahl verstärkten Aluminiumprofilen und statisch tragend verklebten Isolierverglasungen mit gewellten, warm gebogenen Glasscheiben zusammensetzen. Neben den zentralen Themen wie Design, Statik und Bauphysik stellte auch die Montage, gerade mit Blick auf die Elementfassade und die Anforderung eines reibungslosen Einbaus im Zentrum Manhattans, eine Herausforderung in der Planung dar.
                    
                    
                                                       
                    
                    
                                                                  
                        
                        Structurally bonded, wavy glass facade with a view over central park
                                                . As part of a redesign of the Tiffany & Co. flagship store in New York City, seele was commissioned with the facade construction of the new VIP showroom on the 8th–11th floors. The design by the architects OMA and CallisonRTKL envisaged a mullion and transom facade made of aluminium profiles with panes measuring up to 3,5 x 2,13 m for the 343 sqm facade on the 8th–9th floors. A unitized facade was designed for the 491 sqm facade on the 10th–11th floor. It consists of elements measuring 8,8 x 2,45 m, made of steel‐reinforced aluminium profiles and structurally load‐bearing bonded insulating glass units with corrugated, hot‐bent glass panes. In addition to the central issues such as design, structural engineering and building physics, the assembly also posed a challenge in the planning, especially regarding the unitized facade and the requirement for a smooth installation in the centre of Manhattan.
