How to meet the charging needs of more and more electric vehicles under the existing power grid architecture's supply capacity and wiring conditions, especially by providing charging facilities in parking spaces in homes, communities, offices, enterprises, and various public places for convenient parking and charging of electric vehicles, is the main bottleneck affecting the widespread use of electric vehicles. By not increasing or reducing the power supply capacity, and not expanding or reducing the expansion of charging lines, every parking space can have charging capability. A power and charging system that adopts intelligent and flexible control methods may achieve this capability. This flexible charging system will become the main direction for the development of grid power supply and electric vehicle charging, and is also a key investment area globally in the current and future. This paper discloses a flexible AC charging system suitable for the power supply of electric vehicles equipped with AC vehicle mounted chargers. This flexible pile mounted vehicle AC charging system based on situation awareness and interactive control integrates intelligent perception, edge computing, power line carrier communication, flexible power supply sockets and flexible portable charging piles. It can charge clothes dryers, air conditioners and more than two electric vehicles at the same time in households with their own parking spaces according to the line capacity on the existing single-phase or three-phase lines from the range of 8-63A current capacity, and charge multiple electric vehicles at the same time in public or private parking lots.
