TY - JOUR AU - Shepel'skii, N. AB - 1. To produce AMts and AMg2 aluminum alloy granules of optimum shape and structure by casting, the process should be performed at a temperature of 820–850°C. 2. Strips rolled from AMts and AMg2 alloy granules exhibit their optimum strength and ductility characteristics at working temperatures of 450–500 and 500–530°C, respectively. Strips rolled at these temperatures have a recrystallized structure. 3. The strength properties of as-rolled strips from AMts and AMg2 alloy granules are 20–40% higher, and their elongation is 60% lower, than the corresponding characteristics of strips rolled from ingots. The mechanical properties of strips from granules in the annealed condition and their processing properties are similar to those of strips of ingot origin.
