AB - Abstract The switchable component of the polarization of ferroelectric ceramics subjected to a pulse electric field was found with the use of the Preisach model. The model parameters were found for PLZT-9/65/35 ceramics from an experimentally found hysteresis loop. The threshold field strength for the switchable component was established to be close to the threshold strength of electron emission.
