TY - JOUR AU - Bregela, M. AB - UNIVERSAL STAND FOR THE ASSEMBLY OF SHELLS BY CIRCUMFERENTIAL SEAM WELDING N. A. Sypchenko and M. L. Bregela UDC 621.757.06 A mechanized universal stand for the assembly of shells by circumferential seam welding (see Fig. 1) was put into operation at the Suma M. V. Frunze Engineering Works. The stand is used for inside and out- side butting of the shells of column apparatus bodies 600-3600 mm in diameter. The maximumheight of the shells is 2200 ram, and the maximum length of the body is 9000 mm. The stand consists of the following basic units: a clamp 7 for outside butting of shells 600-1100 mm in diameter moving at a speed of 10 m/rain in special guides situated behind the roller supports of a tilter; a pneumatic clamp 3 for inside butting of shells 1200-3600 mm in diameter moving at a speed of 11.4 m/min on a rail track between the roller supports of the tilter; a tilter 6 with self-adjusting driven roller supports making it possible to reverse the rotation of the butted shells at a speed of 3.8 m/rain; and a mobile support 12 also moving at speed of 11.4 m/min on a rail track between the TI - Universal stand for the assembly of shells by circumferential seam welding JO - Chemical and Petroleum Engineering DO - 10.1007/BF01139112 DA - 2005-01-27 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/springer-journals/universal-stand-for-the-assembly-of-shells-by-circumferential-seam-kn6fKhPOVs SP - 571 EP - 572 VL - 8 IS - 6 DP - DeepDyve ER -
