AB - Doppler shift of light can be reproduced audibly with minimal apparatus: a commercial He–Ne laser, two mirrors, a photodetector, and a stereo amplifier with speakers. A dual‐trace oscilloscope and signal generator can be added to obtain a numerical value for the laser wavelength. The method can be extended to display optical spectra directly on an audio spectrum analyzer.;
