TY - JOUR AU - Cao, Ruixin AB - The paper presents a high precision photoplethysmographic signal acquisition circuit with a two-stage amplifier composed of transimpedance amplifier (TIA) and programmable gain amplifier (PGA), a four-channel RC low-pass filter(LPF), and a 20bit high resolution Sigma-Delta modulator (SDM). TIA and PGA together ensures the stability of the front-end circuit, and achieve adjustable trans-impedance gain, and can effectively reduce the circuit noise. The four-channel RC low-pass filter controlled by the system clock to complete the time-interleaved acquisition of four optical signals. One analog-to-digital conversion (ADC) circuit is shared in the system, which reduces power consumption. The ADC adopts the discrete time 20-bit SDM with an oversampling rate of 1024, which is the single-loop multibit second-order cascade of integrators with feedforward path (CIFF) structure. Based on 0.18μm technology, the layout simulation shows that the maximum gain of the AFE circuit reaches 112.03 dBΩ, and the equivalent input noise in the signal band is 29.97 pA/sqrt(Hz), and the SNDR of SDM reaches 114.9 dB.
