Test straight edges, optical strings, telescopes, etc. are used in planaritymonitoring for continuous surfaces. Here one measures the deviations from rectilinearity in the edge and diagonal sections. From the magnitudes, dispositions, and directions (signs) of the maximum deviations one draws conclusions on the planarity [2]. Considerable importance here attaches to the magnitude and direction of deviations in the profiles of diagonal sections, since these enable one to judge the surface curvature. However, on surfaces of frame-flange type the di- agonal sections do not have materia~ throughout the length, so it is impossible to obtain in- formation on the deviations on these sections. In accuracy estimation for surfaces of frame-flange type, one needs additional informa- tion such as on the distance~between two crossing straight lines, one of which joins the two highest points and the other the two lowest ones lying in TI - Planarity checking on surfaces of frame-flange type JO - Measurement Techniques DO - 10.1007/BF00833633 DA - 2004-12-01 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/springer-journals/planarity-checking-on-surfaces-of-frame-flange-type-jD6PrKKsVe SP - 200 EP - 201 VL - 27 IS - 3 DP - DeepDyve ER -
