The method can be used in the production of automobile body parts that have one or more stepped surfaces. The method involves charg- ing the semifinished product into a rigid drawing die which contains a clamp with a stepped surface, a specially shaped sec- tion in contact with the surface of the clamp, and constricted ribs that act as brakes. A clamping force acts on the die on the side of the stepped surface of the clamp and the surface of the ribs. The stepped surface of the clamp is formed with the aid of a polyurethane liner. The liner covers the clamp’s entire surface and is in contact with the semifinished product on the side that its steps are formed. The ribs are located on the surface of the clamp. A die for drawing welded flat-rolled semifinished products of variable thickness has also been developed. The die has steps on one of its surfaces and contains a punch, a specially shaped section with a surface that acts as a clamp, a inde- pendent clamp, and TI - Patents and Certificates for Useful Models JO - Metallurgist DO - 10.1023/A:1021958200789 DA - 2004-10-09 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/springer-journals/patents-and-certificates-for-useful-models-hNWWyg9S5X SP - 284 EP - 293 VL - 46 IS - 10 DP - DeepDyve ER -
