At the present time packaging is accomplished in the following manner: a bundle prepared for packaging is wrapped with a band and drawn tight. The band is overlapped where it is to be welded. An insertion plate(Fig. 2) is placed between the surface of the sheet of the bundle and the band to guard against welding. Welding takes 5-10 sec with the usual rod under fiux at 2 points. For welding the apparatus is set at the welding place, the welding rod is delivered, and by turning the handle the flux dose is supplied, TI - Welding head for packaging bundles of sheet JF - Metallurgist DO - 10.1007/BF00734311 DA - 2004-11-18 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/springer-journals/welding-head-for-packaging-bundles-of-sheet-glXP0yr6cG SP - 202 EP - 202 VL - 8 IS - 4 DP - DeepDyve ER -
