AB - The oil film thickness under the test conditions was 8-30 ~m, the thickness of this film in the bearing on the delivery side being smaller than that in the bearing on the in- take side due to the action of higher load. The calculated and experimental data were found to be in satisfactory agreement~ The referred investigations of the parameters of sliding bearings made it possible to make a thorough assessment of their performance and to take steps to finish this in- dispensable assembly of the screw compressor for ensuring the derived reliability and durability factors.
