AB - An efficient second harmonic generation of diode end-pumped electro-optical q-switched Nd:YVO 4 slab laser is demonstrated. A maximum output power of 15.6W at 532nm was obtained at a repetition rate of 40kHz, the corresponding conversion efficiency was 60% and the pulse width was 11.3ns. At a repetition rate of 10kHz, the pulse energy of 532nm was 1.2mJ and the pulse width was as short as 5ns. The beam quality was M2 < 1,3.
