Based on aquestionnaire survey, evaluates for the first time the extent ofmanagement training in India and skills emphasis. Also reassesses otherdimensions such as training methods, training policy and assessmentmethods. The findings suggest that the extent of management training inIndia is low and there are structural differences between organizationsthat provide training to their managers and those which do not.
