S a n y a l I n tr o d u c tio n Cyclophosphamide, a recently synthesized polyfunctional alkylating agent belonging to the nitrogen m ustard group, is widely used in cancer chemotherapy [ChauBE c( h!., 1967] because of its low toxicity and higher therapeutic index.
