TY - JOUR AU - Chaffin, Roger J. AB - The Strained-Layer-Superlattice (SLS) is an important new class of semiconductor material. This new semiconductor material has many novel and tailorable properties that can be used to make new or improved optoelectronic (OE) devices. At Sandia National Laboratories we have fabricated and tested Light-Emitting-Diodes (LED's), Lasers, Detectors and other OE SLS devices. Data is presented on these devices. Novel infrared and photovoltaic device concepts are also described.
