Editors Silvia Edling and Sheila Macrine have brought together a diverse collection of essays that speak on the one hand to patriarchal neoliberalism, the undoing of democracy, rampant individualism, the destruction of social safety nets, post-truth politics and escalating backlashes against feminism, to name but a few ills, and their impacts on women and – more particularly – on racialised and minority women. One the other hand, this volume centres on what Antonia Dardar, in her Foreword, calls the “battles with the recalcitrant patriarchal system of knowledge construction that would gladly silence us all” (p.
