AB - Gas accumulating in central heating systems consists mainly of nitrogen and hydrogen. The mechanisms of air entering the systems, gas transport and distribution are discussed. General conditions for effective separation and removal of the gas are postulated. These were applied to designing in principle and successful testing of a gas separating device.
