TY - JOUR AB - Although in Denmark the electronics industry, in its wider context, can be traced back to the early years of this century and had by 1925 developed sufficiently to form a trade organisation, its main expansion came in the years after World War II. Despite the nation's international reputation for good interior and industrial design, electronics have played a remarkably low profile. About 60 of the total production falls in the category of professional electronics, while slightly more than 20 covers consumer and entertainment products, the balance being components. The emphasis on export is high, with the Danish electronics production sector exporting some 85 of its output.
