Petrovich Application of frequency multipliers with pulse feedback simplifies the design and im- proves the speed of response of low-frequency frequency meters, tachometers, and phase meters. The block diagram of a frequency multiplier with pulse feedback is shown in Fig. I. The multiplier consists of an input signal shaper I, a circuit that converts the input sig- nal period into a dc voltage 2, a voltage-to-frequency converter 3, a pulse feedback top loop including frequency divider 4, and a flip-flop 5. The repetition frequencies of the frequency multiplier output pulses fout and of the in- put pulses fin are related by four = n fin, where n is the division factor of frequency divider 4. The frequency multiplier circuit diagram is shown in Fig. 2. The multiplier has been designedto operate in a universal digital instrument which measures frequency, rotations per minute, and phase in the frequency range from 5 to I000 Hz. The multiplier has three outputs with multiplication factors 60, i00, and 360. Input pulses with a repetition rate fo are applied to a monostable multivibrator D*.L which produces output TI - Frequency multiplier with pulse feedback for low-frequency digital measuring instruments JF - Measurement Techniques DO - 10.1007/BF00861752 DA - 2004-12-06 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/springer-journals/frequency-multiplier-with-pulse-feedback-for-low-frequency-digital-a4i0Z5S4jQ SP - 831 EP - 833 VL - 28 IS - 10 DP - DeepDyve ER -
