A. Akhmedov, Sh. B. Akhmedov, and L. I. Volchkevich UDC 621.771.25 Flexibility is one of the basic properties of automated production lines that incorporate elements of robotics and microprocessors. In a broad sense, flexible automated production systems (FPSs) can be characterized by the speed of their adaptation to the manufacture of a new product, in a production operation that has already been adjusted, this concept is interpreted as the length of time required for readjustment of the process equipment for the manufacture of a product with a different purpose and with different standard dimensions. The question of speed of readjustment becomes important in manufacturing operations involving the working of sheet, where large workpieces that are inconvenient for gripping and orientation must be manipulated -- workpieces that are changed in configuration and dimensions by the manufacturing operations. Consequently, the gripping devices in industrial robots and manipulators now in use must be designed in such a manner as to ensure proper operation of a flexible production system (FPS) with different standard dimensions of the semifinished TI - Programmed readjustment system for process equipment in flexible automated production systems for the manufacture of evaporators JF - Chemical and Petroleum Engineering DO - 10.1007/BF01152035 DA - 2005-01-28 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/springer-journals/programmed-readjustment-system-for-process-equipment-in-flexible-a3c0f0HaK5 SP - 516 EP - 519 VL - 31 IS - 9 DP - DeepDyve ER -
