Sokov UDC 615:47:658.52.011.56].03:616-001 A topometameric classification of mechanical injuries of the locomotor apparatus has been specially developed for the purpose of providing an automated information reference system for traumatology physicians (A/I~S TP). AIRS TP is a system of classification of injuries of soft tissues, joints, bones, internal organs and their complications and topometric location. This system of classification allows injury diagnosis to be made more accurately. The systems recommends various methods of treatment of injuries. The types of injuries and methods of their treatment are illustrated with diagrams and pictures. The class of the injury is coded on the basis of experts' estimates stored in a system memory. AIRS TP provides recommendations for treatment of specific injuries in medical organiT~tions of various profiles [1-5]. The structure of the classification system is multiplicative, hierarchial, and tree-like. Within each region of the human body it represents location, transcutaneous spread, and type of injury. Body parts are the terminals of the classification tree. The parts of body are divided into following groups. 1. Head and neck. 1.1.
