TY - JOUR AU - Chen, Lin AB - Safety gear is the key safety protection device in the elevator. When the elevator falls out of control, it can stop the elevator. The wedge of safety gear is its core component, but found in the actual work, the wedge is seriously worn and the wear resistance is reduced after linkage test, which can not guarantee the reliability in real action. In order to effectively solve this problem, this paper proposes to use nitriding technology, a diffusion layer is formed on the surface of the safety gear wedge, so as to improve the wear resistance and strength of the wedge. This technology can improve the strength performance of safety gear without changing the wedge size, so it has a good application prospect.
