TY - JOUR AU - Davis, Frank, M. AB - Abstract A food-packaging machine was modified for mass rearing Diatraea grandiosella (Dyar). It semi-automatically infests diet-filled cups with a predetermined number of larvae mixed in corn cob grits, caps the cups, and moves them onto a loading tray in a continuous process. The modification of the commercial machine is simple and inexpensive. Preparation of the larvae-grit mixture and operation of the machine are discussed. This content is only available as a PDF.
