TY - JOUR AU - Avetisov, I. Kh. AB - A new luminescent hybrid material was developed based on silica aerogel and a boron-containing coordination compound with 8-hydroxyquilinone. Its physicochemical and spectral-luminescent characteristics were investigated. A procedure eliminating the need for an expensive preliminary synthesis of a high-purity organoelemental boron-containing phosphor was developed for synthesizing the hybrid luminescent material. Hydrophobization of the aerogel was found to significantly increase the stability of the luminescent characteristics of the hybrid material.
