AB - By condensing aldehydes of the benzothiazole series with dimethylaniline, leuco-bases of dyes of the type of Malachite Green have been synthesized. The oxidation of these bases has given new analogs of Malachite Green containing benzothiazole nuclei; the main absorption maxima of the dyes have been determined.
