TY - JOUR AU - Simonova, M. AB - A new method combining enzymatic and photochemical reactions is proposed for determining the peroxidase activity of biopreparations. In the enzymatic reaction the developer, in particular hydroquinone, is oxidized in the presence of peroxidase by hydrogen peroxide, as a result of which its concentration in the enzyme—substrate mixture decreases. As a result of applying this mixture on the surface of light quantum-sensitized photographic material, the intensity of darkening of the spots obtained depends on the peroxidase activity of the investigated preparation.
