TY - JOUR AU - Liebe, Hans AB - A broadband model for complex refractivity is presented to predict propagation effects of loss and delay for the neutral atmosphere at frequencies up to 1000 GHz. Contributions from dry air, water vapor, suspended water droplets (haze, fog, cloud), and rain are addressed. For clear air, the local line base (44 O2 plus 30 H2O lines) is complemented by an empirical water-vapor continuum. Input variables are barometric pressure, temperature, relative humidity, suspended water droplet concentration, and rainfall rate.
