TY - JOUR AB - Many people have shown interest in an anaesthetic technique which was developed by M r T. Hughes Ellis and which was demonstrated at a meeting in Dublin of the Association of Veterinary Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland. C are well known to you. So well known in fact that I do not propose to say anything about the individual uses of these three substances. You will be conversant also with the difficulties of some veterinarians in general practice where there are only limited facilities for small animal surgery as regards equipment and personnel to act as competent anaesthetists. Difficulty arises mainly in regard t o a suitable anaesthetic for caesarian section and for operative procedures on cases suffering from toxaemia, e.g. pyometra.
