Samokhin In July, 1971, first class repairs were carried out in blast furnace No. 1 of a useful volume of 1033 m ~ at the Zhdanovsk II'yich Works. From the moment of the blowing in (December, 1957) the furnace was stopped 18 times for third class repairs and once, in 1963, for second class repairs. The first class major repairs included the follow- ing operations: dismantling of metal structures, casting, and equipment, 1485 tons; assembly of metal structures, casting, and equipment, 2005 tons; dismantling of old masonry, 1054 tons~ refractory Iining, 854 tons; laying of carbon blocks, 130 tons; dismantling of pipes, 10,500 linear m; assembly of pipes,10,500 linear m. The total freight traffic volume was 5630 tons, and the average daily load 188 tons.
