Rybakov UDC 621,3.083.088:622.233.4/.7 In the design of telemetering systems for monitoring well-bottom parameters in oil-well drilling operations, the drilling string, the drilling fluid in which it is immersed, and the enclosing rock are exploited as an electrical wireless channel. Selection of such basic system parameters as the type of modulation, the frequency range of the signals and the output power of the transmitter, and the sensitivity of the receiver can be arrived at correctly by taking the noise in the communications channel into account. Scme of the numerical characteristics of noise in a communications channel working via tubes in a well hole in turbodrilling operations have been discussed in the literature [1, 2]. Experience acquired in the investigation of noise over the past several years at the Grozny SPKB [Special planning and design office] of the Neftegazpromav- tomatika [Oil and gas industrial automatic control agency] has smoothed the way for w orking out a practical pro- cedure and determining suitable methods for processing data on channel noise. The point of departure in this work has been the possibilities of using the TI - How to determine effective noise voltage in an electrical wireless communications channel JO - Measurement Techniques DO - 10.1007/BF00995006 DA - 2004-12-31 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/springer-journals/how-to-determine-effective-noise-voltage-in-an-electrical-wireless-URE5peKrRm SP - 433 EP - 436 VL - 15 IS - 3 DP - DeepDyve ER -
