TY - JOUR AB - An opticalmicrowave conversion system has been proposed as a high-stabilityoscillator in the microwave and millimetre-wave frequency region. A photomixer withheterodyne mixing of two lasers was applied to generate electromagnetic waves and ahigh-TC grain boundary Josephson junction detector was used to monitor the frequency of theelectromagnetic waves in real time. We described the system in detail; it employed asealed optical connector to introduce the optical signal directly into the cryostat.
