Larionov For a number of years, the Penza Compressor Plant has been producing large general-purpose re- ciprocating air compressors. Because of the large production of these compressors, it became necessary to create highly economic and operationally reliable compressors with maximum standardization of units and parts, making it pos- sible to organize large-assembly-line production and centralized manufacture of spare parts and to estab- lish an exchange stock of complex expensive units and parts. As a result of joint work with the Leningrad Scientific-Research Institute of Chemical Machinery (LenNIIkhimmash), the plant has now adopted the production of highly economic 4M10-100/8 and 2M10-50/8 standardized air compressors (Figs. 1 and 2) on a 4M10 opposing base (Fig. 3). Manufacturing the com- pressors on the opposing base made it possible to reduce significantly the weight and dimensions of the compressor unit and the mass of the base. The creation of the new compressors was preceded by much scientific-research work. Serious attention was given to the problem of reducing gasodynamic losses, which, as the research studies showed, are fundamental in a compressor. To reduce them, flow-type valves TI - New air compressors JF - Chemical and Petroleum Engineering DO - 10.1007/BF01233453 DA - 2005-02-11 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/springer-journals/new-air-compressors-TIWWBPNIpK SP - 543 EP - 545 VL - 6 IS - 7 DP - DeepDyve ER -
