AB - VETERINARY practices that are members of Buysure, the buying group operated by Vetsure, now have access to a supply of equine and small animal vaccines imported from abroad under the Special Import Certificate system.Vetsure, which offers lifetime pet insurance policies, pet health plans and membership of its buying group to practices that join its network, says stock shortages have created additional problems for UK veterinary practices facing ongoing recruitment and resourcing challenges. It reports that, through Buysure and working with wholesalers in the UK and abroad, it has managed to establish alternative vaccine sources in the EU.Ashley Gray, Vetsure managing director, said: ‘The continued stock outages have caused unwelcome stress to our members and I am delighted that, by working with partnered UK and European wholesalers, we have been able to maintain existing supply chains for the immediate future. Together with an approach of allocated stock deliveries from partnered UK suppliers, I am thrilled with the way that my team have been able to support our practices to help alleviate this issue.‘It's not perfect of course, and we all look forward to the day when painful stock issues recede, but our strategy has been a vital lifeline for our
