Dovgalyuk UDC 539.3 The studies [1, 4-6] examined wave processes in stochastically nonuniform media. Use of the method of conditional moments [3] appreciably simplifies the calculations and makes it possible to construct a solution accurate to within the fluctuations of the parameters in a component of the medium. We use the same method here to study the forced vibrations of laminated materials with a stochastic structure. 1. We will examine the forced longitudinal vibration of a laminated medium with a stochastic structure. The vibrations take place along the x axis -- which is normal to the layers -- and are described by the equation o {;t0uh +Fei~, 0 2u (1.1) 0--£~ Ox! =POt 2 Here, the elastic modulus X, density p, and the amplitude of the exciting force F are assigned, while the displacement u is an unknown random function of the coordinate x. The quantities X and o are statistically homogeneous functions. Representing the displacement in the form (1.2) u(x,t) ~t =v(x)e , we obtain the equation (1.3) (,tv')'+aJ2pv +F=0.
